I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
